Tuba vs Sousaphone

Dear readers,  I believe it is time for me too explain the difference between tubas and sousaphones

  • Sousaphones are basically giant tubas.
  • Sousaphones were invented to be a “marching tuba”
  • It is called the sousaphone after John Sousa a well known Composer and Conductor
  • Unlike the tuba the sousaphone has little to no history (it was invented in the late 1800s)
  • LONG LIVE THE TUBA!!
